DNF - Where is the plot in this story? I'm crying on the inside.
Nothing has happened so far, and I'm giving up. The writing is padded to the hilt with completely unimportant minutiae that it's hard to wade through it all. If something can be written in one sentence, this book writes it in ten. The main narrative, already slow and plodding, is broken up even more every chapter by seemingly random asides. If this book wasn't so long, I'd try to tough it out to see if it gets any better. But I can't make it through 500 pages of this drudgery.
